Closet Primed and Paint Colors

With the framing and drywall finished along with wall touch ups, it was time for me to get in there and start painting!  First color up… WHITE!!  I primed the closet inside and out, hit all the wall spots, and got 2 fresh coats on the ceiling.  I also got 2 coats of white clay  by BHER on the inside of the closet.

Then it was time to narrow down the wall color and I knew I wanted to do a very light blue/gray. I got some darker tones that I liked and played with removing color percentages to lighten them up but they were still too dark (and some felt like dining room colors to me). I had my eye on a chair that I wanted to put in the room and that was the start of my color inspiration but of course it was gone so I couldn’t use it as a sample when I selected paint colors. However it appeared again a few weeks later and I was able to snap it up (yay!!), but I already had the paint selected. The wall color could probably use a touch more grey in it after I compared the two but I think it will work out OK once everything is in the room.  In the first pic its the one next to the trim and on the far left, mountain air by Sherwin Williams.   A lot of work was still ahead of us!
