Our master bathroom was in some serious need of attention and Mace had big plans to get it up to snuff before the wedding (which was 5 weeks out at that time), I on the other hand had no intention of touching it. So with a fire under his ass Mace decided to get started and this would be the one room where he actually striped the wall paper (which he did while I tried to sleep off a hangover from my bachelorette the night before, real good timing buddy!). Here’s a reminder of what we were working with (we had already swapped out the faucet and took down the valance shortly after moving in).
So here’s a shot of the room with the wall paper removed and Mace starting to repair behind the medicine cabinet and the vanity light. We already knew this room wasn’t getting much new stuff, just working with what we had and trying to make it look better until we do the full reno. The plan was to paint the walls, the ceiling, the light fixtures, and refresh the vanity base with new doors, a new vanity top, new hardware, and a fresh coat of paint. He was able to get the wall paper down, the glue removed, spray down the mold from having wall paper in a bathroom, and the wall repair but no other major changes happened before the big day so he put everything back in its place and we lived with it for a few months. DIY is a process!!
