Back to the office update, before I could move forward with any painting we had to repair the walls. I had mentioned in the first post they were in pretty bad shape (someone did a poor plaster job back in the day). Here are some before photos where you can see they aren’t smooth and have lots of bumps and divots.
Mace set-up shop and began the mudding process, 3 layers of mud and then sanding to get a smooth result. All the walls had places that needed repairs and he also addressed the closet, as you can see there were a lot of repairs to do in this room even though it’s the smallest one!! The whole process took about 4 nights after work to complete.
It’s not the prettiest or most fun part of the renovation process but a very necessary one to get an end result that looks good. And Mace’s hard work paid off because the walls are sooo much smoother and better looking when you compare them to their original state.
