This spring we finally got around to finishing up some outstanding house maintenance projects. The big projects are more fun transformations but its the little things in a house, especially the unfinished ones, that can either add or take away from the “wow” factor. First up was painting the garage trim we never did when we finished the garage. It was time to putty, sand, and paint the trim. It looks so much better and is one of those details that’s easy to never get around to so Mace and I agreed to check it off the list before we started the 2nd bedroom closet.
Then we did the same to the garage side door trim and also got the door painted. Again a very subtle change but one that makes the house look more finished.
Then the sliders needed putty, sanding, and a few coats of paint too. First up was the basement replacement slider.
And finally the slider to the deck had its trim painted. It took a couple hours over the course of a few weekends to address these different areas but it was worth it to get it done and not have the nail holes visible anymore. Devil is in the details!!
