Some Paint and Rubber Baseboards

With all the garage trim details done and extra hands on deck (my parents who also helped with the basement slider) we could start to do put the finishing details on the garage.  First up was painting the drywalled walls.  We did one coat of primer and one coat of just plain white paint.  Painting went sooo much faster with help than doing it by myself, it probably would have taken me 3 times as long!  Kobe decided to see what all the fuss was about, too bad he couldn’t help!  Instead he just got paint on his coat and left some fur on the walls, haha!!

We also touched up parts of the ceiling, why not when everything’s white!

Next up was getting 2 coats of paint on all the door and window trim which I did a few days later.  The space felt much more finished now that everything was painted and Mace did an amazing job making this difficult wall blend in with the side door.

One of the things he was most excited about at this stage of the project was being able to set a beer on the window sill (he deserves it after all this work don’t ya think) and I’m sure there will be many more that get placed here in the future!

A last detail was getting a rubberized baseboard (gotta love job site leftovers!) installed around the base so the drywall wasn’t exposed. Not a necessary detail but one that really finishes off the space nicely.
